Job summary

The Hill School is seeking a part-time Campus Security Officer for the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), working every other weekend and occasional holidays. This role provides security for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, including escort services and routine patrols across the campus.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, hold a valid driver’s license, and can respond calmly in emergencies. A High School diploma is required; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, and background checks are

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Visual acuity and ability to walk hills and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide escort services and patrols for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor access through Gate House and campus buildings.
• Respond to alarms and disturbances; provide first aid if necessary.
• Enforce campus policies and report hazards; notify authorities when needed.
• Perform patrols by vehicle and on foot; support campus safety initiatives.
