Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a Temporary Open Gym Supervisor for the Germantown Campus in the Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education. The role is 10 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility to support the department.

Primary duties include supervising the Recreation/Fitness Program open to students, faculty and staff. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, an NCCA-certified fitness credential, CPR/AED, and prior

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with understanding of the field and ability to perform duties.
• NCCA-accredited fitness certification (e.g., ACSM, ACE, Cooper Institute, NASM, NSCA).
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in fitness instruction – group and/or individual.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during designated Open Gym hours.
• Enforce rules and regulations of the Open Gym program.
• Complete and maintain accurate records for the program.
• Effectively communicate and work with all faculty, staff and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
