Job summary

Penn State University is seeking student help for the Northeast Regional LaunchBox Hubs to support innovation programming. This part-time role (up to 20 hours/week) offers flexible hours, with potential evening or weekend events, reporting to the Regional Director.

Responsibilities include marketing material creation, social media posting, website updates, data collection, and event logistics. Two openings exist—one at Hazleton and one at Scranton—supporting initiatives across the Northeast

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and contribute as part of a team.
• Experience with Canva and Adobe Express.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish and English) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Creating marketing materials for LaunchBox programs and events using online design platforms such as Canva and Adobe Express.
• Developing and posting content on popular social media platforms.
• Assisting in maintaining and updating the LaunchBox websites.
• Supporting data collection and preparing reporting sheets to track LaunchBox impact and engagement.
• Assisting with event logistics, including administrative support, event setup, and on-site coordination.
• Providing creative input and ideas for strategic marketing and outreach to increase visibility of LaunchBox programs on campus and in the community.
• Conducting client intake and reporting client information to LaunchBox staff.
