Job summary

Lewis & Clark College is seeking a Grounds Student Worker to support annual campus maintenance and special projects under the grounds supervisor. The role is part-time, with weekday hours from 7 AM to 4 PM, and pays 16.80 USD per hour.

You will gain hands-on experience operating lawn and landscape tools while contributing to campus events. Preferred candidates have prior landscaping exposure and can perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Resume, uploaded Cover letter, uploaded Previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required to carry out the job responsibility.
• Must be able to work in a stooped, kneeling, crouched or squatting position.
• Must be able to manipulate the tools and equipment used in grounds tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operates all hand and power tools necessary to complete tasks (shovels, hoes, rakes, axes, trimmers, mowers, etc.).
• Moves, loads, unloads and delivers heavy and bulky materials, supplies, and equipment by hand or dolly.
• Assists with set-ups and take-downs for campus events in a timely manner.
• Must pass drivers training to operate transportation vehicles.
