Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a part-time Food Service assistant to support the Campus Bistro and kitchen operations. You will assist with cooking, prep, stocking, and maintaining a clean, organized food line while delivering excellent customer service to students, staff, and guests.

The role includes cash handling, daily reports, and adherence to food safety standards. Benefits include gym access, tuition waiver options, and parking across campuses.

Qualifications

• Positive and outgoing customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Must possess good math skills.
• A pre-employment post-offer physical evaluation will be required.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• 1 year of related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations in the Campus Bistro area, stocking, cleaning and brewing coffee, and preparing drinks.
• Cook, prep, stock, and maintain a clean, organized food line in kitchen areas.
• Provide quality customer service to internal and external constituents and handle money/cashier duties.
• Operate cash register and complete daily cash reports as needed.
• Daily start up or shut down duties and maintain daily maintenance and cleaning.
