Vallarta Supermarkets in Colton, CA is seeking a friendly Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. You will prepare, decorate, and finish cakes and pastries while upholding quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll maintain attractive bakery displays, assist with custom cake orders, and follow safety and sanitation standards. Experience in cake decorating is ideal, but we value willingness to learn and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

Friendly, customer-focused attitude with a passion for cake decorating.
Knowledge of cake mixes, fillings, frostings, and decorating tools.
Experience decorating cakes or strong willingness to learn.
Ability to maintain quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with bakery and cake orders in-store or by phone.
Prepare, decorate, and finish cakes and pastries to customer requests and standards.
Merchandise, rotate, and stock bakery displays to keep them appealing.
Follow health department regulations and company safety policies.
Monitor oven and proofer temperatures; prepare dough and batters.
Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and proper utensil care.
Communicate supply needs and assist with vendor orders.
Perform additional tasks to support bakery operations and satisfaction.
