Job summary

Fresno City College seeks a part-time Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) instructor for its faculty pool. Responsibilities include teaching AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Geomagic across multiple formats, and producing project drawings with materials specifications.

The role emphasizes drafting fundamentals, 3D prototyping, and integration of additive manufacturing, laser cutting, and finishing techniques. Evening/weekend classes may be required; equity-minded teaching is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of directly related professional experience.
• Associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience.
• A valid California Community College credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (requires and equivalency).
• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Workshop on equity-minded practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing on drawing a complete set of working drawings with materials and specs using a computer.
• Strong emphasis on AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Geomagic software.
• Drafting skills: sketching, orthographic and projection views, tolerancing, and sheet metal drawings.
• Prototype design using additive manufacturing, laser cutting and engraving, and related methods.
• Duties may include evening/weekend, online or off-campus instruction as needed.
