Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Part-time Associate Estimator C&I to assist in developing accurate, competitive bid proposals for commercial/industrial electrical construction. You will support takeoffs, attend pre-bid meetings, and review drawings to ensure scope and contents are complete and aligned with proposals.

The role emphasizes teamwork, meeting deadlines, and working within MYR Group policies. This position is part-time with no benefits offered and may involve pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or prepare estimates per MYR Group policies and procedures, by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and input into estimating software.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and determine constructability requirements per proposal documents.
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to evaluate scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Understand scope of work to ensure estimate accuracy, as well as completing prior to deadlines.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications.
