Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
• Business experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and community college mission.
• Available to teach day, evening and/or online; flexibility to teach during day preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and teach curriculum content in alignment with course objectives.
• Use applicable technology and pedagogy to teach course content via assigned delivery format (face-to-face or online).
• Complete required institutional trainings and professional development, including Teach Online.
• Follow department and division requirements for course syllabi.
• Plan and deliver instructional activities that promote engagement and learning.
• Evaluate student performance using department-approved assessment tools and grading guidelines.
• Inform students of progress and maintain an up-to-date grade book and final grades by the due date.
• Maintain attendance and grading requirements as established for the course.
• Participate in departmental evaluation and course assessment processes as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with students via HCC email and CANVAS LMS.
• Keep up-to-date with current business topics.
