Job summary

Ivy Tech Bloomington is seeking in-person, part-time instructors for our Business Administration and Organization Leadership programs. We are building a pool to cover day-time courses and upcoming semesters.

Adjunct faculty can teach between 1-13 contact hours per week, paid at $46.75 per contact hour. Responsibilities include delivering classes, preparing syllabi, maintaining records, and fostering a diverse, engaging learning environment in compliance with FERPA and college policies.

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or related field as appropriate to the program.
• Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with 18 post-secondary semester/27 quarter credit hours or equivalent in business-related subjects.
• Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with two or more of: professional certification in business, three years in-field professional employment, or teaching-related credentials.
• Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree in business-related fields with two or more of: professional certification, three years in-field professional employment, or documented teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes per College policy and course objectives.
• Uses available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintains student records and grades.
• Engages with students to deliver a positive Ivy Tech experience with active classroom teaching strategies.
• Interacts with students and colleagues professionally, adhering to College policies and guidelines.
• Ensures knowledge and implementation of emergency and safety procedures in all learning environments.
