Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate radio communication when necessary.
• Ability to operate all vehicle types used in transporting students.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the safety of handicapped students loading and unloading, and en route to and from school.
• Operates hydraulic-life equipped bus for loading/unloading wheelchair confined students or others needing assistance.
• Secures each student with harnesses, seat belts, wheelchair locks or other safety equipment as required.
• Maintains discipline in keeping with the school division regulations.
• Instructs riders to be responsible passengers.
