Moses Lake School District 161 Transportation Dept. in Moses Lake, Washington is seeking a part-time Bus Driver Assistant to support student safety and daily transit operations.

You will assist students entering and exiting buses, secure seats and restraints, monitor behavior, and report incidents. The role emphasizes teamwork with drivers and school staff, and requires a high school diploma, a valid First Aid Card, and the ability to work with students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Must have a valid First Aid Card.
• Willingness to supervise and work patiently with special needs students.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to work well with adults and children with disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Seat students using seat belts, child seats or wheelchair restraints as needed.
• Model positive attitude and integrity for students.
• Monitor passengers to enforce safety rules and conduct.
• Document and report violations to the appropriate authority.
• Assist with evacuation of the vehicle in emergencies.
• Ensure students take belongings when leaving the bus.
• Keep the vehicle interior clean and presentable.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
