Job summary

Imperial Valley College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member for Building and Construction to support the college’s Economic & Workforce Development division. This continuous applicant pool role entails delivering instruction under the Dean’s supervision at the Imperial location (Imperial, CA) on an as-needed basis.

The position requires an earned degree in construction technology or engineering technology with relevant experience, along with a commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in building construction technology or engineering technology in a related area, plus 2+ years of direct work experience.
• Associate’s degree in construction technology plus 6+ years of direct construction technology experience.
• Equivalency candidates must complete the equivalency questionnaire and attach supporting documents.
• Sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds (AB 1725, 87360a).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines.
• Manage class preparation, student evaluation, and adherence to syllabi; assess learning outcomes.
• Maintain and submit records by deadlines (grades, attendance, etc.).
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics in the workplace.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain ongoing competence in the field.
