Caravan Facilities Management LLC is seeking a Part Time Janitor in Auburn Hills, MI. This role reports to the Janitorial Supervisor under Operations and is non-exempt.

The position focuses on keeping premises clean and orderly, with duties including cleaning rooms, polishing fixtures, floors, and restrooms, moving equipment, and setting up spaces for events. Strong reliability and basic safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
• Delivers messages.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.
