Job summary

Caravan Facilities Management LLC in Center Line, MI is seeking a part-time Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance duties. You will clean rooms and common areas, polish fixtures, floors, windows, and surfaces, and ensure sanitary conditions across facilities.

The role requires reliability, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work afternoons, with occasional weekend shifts. You will report to the Janitorial Supervisor in a non-exempt, part-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work afternoons and some weekends as stated.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash to disposal area.
• Replaces light bulbs.
