Position Purpose

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented

Position Purpose

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper/Personal Assistant to manage financial records related to multiple real estate properties and support the company owner with general administrative and personal assistant tasks. This role requires experience in property management accounting, the ability to maintain organized financial records, and discretion when handling confidential information. This is an in person position in our Washington, NC office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile property-specific ledgers, including rent roll, expenses, deposits, and escrow accounts.
  • Track income and expenses for multiple properties (residential and/or commercial).
  • Generate monthly financial reports for the owner, including cash flow and occupancy summaries.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including tenant invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Manage security deposit tracking, move-in/move-out financial records, and tenant account reconciliations.
  • Work with the owner's CPA or accountant to provide necessary documentation for tax filings or audits.
  • Use software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Administrative / Personal Assistant Tasks

  • Schedule appointments, coordinate calendar, and handle light correspondence on behalf of the owner.
  • Assist with document management, filing, and data entry.
  • Coordinate vendor services (e.g., maintenance, repairs, inspections) and follow up on service completion.
  • Handle occasional personal errands or projects as needed (e.g., bill payments, travel arrangements).

Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on property management or real estate accounting or closely related field.
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (Online or Desktop) and Excel.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (Airbnb, AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience supporting an executive or business owner is preferred.
  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Flexible, part-time schedule (15–25 hours/week depending on workload).
  • Hourly compensation based on experience.
