Job summary

Balanced CPAs is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to join our team. You will assist in preparing and reviewing client payrolls and bookkeeping under the Bookkeeping Manager, with involvement in various accounting projects.

Responsibilities include processing payrolls, communicating with clients, scheduling tax payments, and reconciling bank accounts in QuickBooks. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to firm processes.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with computers and electronic processes.
• Strong communication and written skills are required.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to take review comments and apply them to work.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process client payrolls based on information from clients.
• Communicate with clients about open items via email and phone.
• Schedule client payroll tax payments.
• Enter banking transactions from source data or statements.
• Reconcile client bank accounts in QuickBooks.
• Enter invoices, payments, bills, and journal entries from client data.
• Clean up accounting records to meet IRS standards.
• Prepare payroll tax returns and related forms (1099s, W2s).
• Manage and update your project queue.
• Follow firm processes and other duties as assigned.
