Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for bone density imaging. The role involves operating radiographic equipment, following safety protocols, and providing clear patient explanations to ensure accurate exams.

The position is 8 hours weekly (Wednesdays) with free parking and a collaborative team environment. ARRT eligible or registered is required within 90 days of hire; 0-1 year radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Radiography education or ARRT eligible; Registered Technologist preferred
• ARRT registration required within 90 days of hire
• 0–1 year radiology experience preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation safety (ALARA)

Responsibilities

• Confirm correct patient and exam through patient interview and history.
• Explain the exam to the patient considering language and emotional needs.
• Adjust equipment settings to obtain diagnostic images safely.
• Perform imaging using department protocols and radiologist requests.
• Ensure exams are labeled and transmitted to PACS accurately.
