Job summary

Cumulus Media in Reno, NV is seeking a Part-Time Board Operator & Remote Technician to provide programming support and operate the control console in a fast-paced broadcast environment. The role requires reliability, flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays, and the ability to learn FCC rules, EAS guidelines, and audio workflows.

Qualifications

Previous control console operation experience preferred.
Audio production skills preferred.
Ability to learn FCC rules and EAS guidelines.
Proficient with MS Office and audio editing tools.
Familiar with audio mixers.
Flexibility in scheduling; evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Run the console in a radio station control room for live or pre-recorded programs.
Play commercials as scheduled and maintain a log of spots.
Monitor weather, traffic and news reports.
Monitor EAS alerts, Amber Alerts and breaking news.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of on-air programming from master control.
