Job summary

MultiMedical Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician for a part-time role in Oak Brook, IL. The technician will maintain, repair, and calibrate biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety, while complying with safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in biomedical engineering or related field and at least 2 years of hospital biomedical equipment experience, with strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair in a hospital setting
• Knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Order and install replacement parts as needed
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
• Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
