Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking multiple part-time Student Technical Assistant positions in the School of Civil & Construction Engineering to assist in one of our research labs in Corvallis.

Responsibilities include lab experiments, setup and maintenance, data collection and analysis, and collaboration with fellow students. Requires enrollment and willingness to learn safety procedures; may use common shop tools and endure varied lab conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
• Must be able to lift 25 kg.
• Complete safety training; protection gear provided by the lab
• Strong written and oral communication skills; desire to be involved in hands-on research; team player
