Overview:
Specializes in enhancing our branch customer experience through sales, service, and digital engagement for our Consumer and Business Banking customers. Supports daily branch operations as a Teller and addresses customer service and sales needs as assigned. Manages scheduled customer appointments and walk-ins to identify needs; refers complex issues to appropriate team members. The Float Universal Banker frequently travels within a designated area to assist various branches.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Educate customers on features and benefits of Banking solutions; recommend based on customer needs.
- Engage customers to promote banking products and digital capabilities.
- Explain high-level loan application decision criteria.
- Handle servicing responsibilities for Banking relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Follow the Bank’s sales process, providing customer-focused advice.
- Proactively contact customers to retain and grow relationships.
- Maintain high customer service standards, understanding needs and delivering solutions.
- Manage lobby activities, greet customers, and proactively address their banking needs.
- Introduce banking partners when appropriate solutions are identified.
- Stay current with AML, BSA, and KYC processes; escalate suspected fraud cases.
- Log and resolve customer complaints accurately.
- Review and resolve overdrafts.
- Process transactions accurately.
- Complete operational activities, document interactions and appointments.
- Adhere to compliance and risk controls.
- Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the Bank's brand.
- Maintain internal controls and address audit or regulatory issues.
- Meet and maintain registration under the Federal SAFE Act.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of retail sales, customer service, or telesales experience.
- Fluent communication skills in English and a second language, assessed via an evaluation.
- Ability to travel between branches as needed.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle diverse customer interactions and difficult conversations.
- Organized with good time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work under time constraints in a team environment.
- Proficiency with internet and basic technology.
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills based on branch needs.
- Proven sales or referral ability.
Physical Requirements:

Salary range: $21.00 - $34.29/hour. Location: Monsey, NY.
