The Gresham-Barlow School District 10J seeks a Federal Programs/Community Liaison to support Newcomer Programs, Multilingual Learners, McKinney-Vento, Title Programs, and Foster Care. The role assists families with access to resources, supports student engagement, and provides translation and interpretation district-wide.

This grant-funded position also aids staff with data entry, records, and communication.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience with school-age children and families.

Responsabilidades

• Provides language support by phone, Google Meets, or in person to schedule meetings and remind parents of appointments.
• Translates written communication such as emails, notes, letters, newsletters, and basic forms.
• Supports staff by gathering information from students, parents, and the community through interpretation when necessary.
• Performs data collection and recordkeeping for documenting contacts and federal program processes.
• Interprets for information sessions and events organized by Gresham-Barlow Federal Programs or the district office.
• Works with staff to ensure information and services are understood by students and families.
• Collaborates with administrators, counselors, social workers, nurses, and outside agencies to assist students and families.
• Promotes parental involvement and provides information and training to parents to increase engagement.
• Maintains flexible work hours to accommodate evening meetings and events.
