Part-Time Bellperson/Shuttle Driver - Beauport Hotel

We are seeking hospitality professionals with strengths in guest service and knowledge of creating memorable guest experiences for the position of Bellperson/Shuttle Driver at the Beauport Hotel. This position is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests of the hotel and restaurant patrons in a courteous and professional manner. The Bellperson will assist with transporting luggage to and from the front desk and guest rooms, and will also be expected to drive the shuttle for our in-house guests.

Experience:

Must have at least one year of customer service experience, with previous hospitality experience preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Shuttle Driver – License Requirements:

Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving history is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Open hotel doors for guests entering and exiting.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the hotel professionally.
  • Unload luggage from vehicles and assist guests at the front desk.
  • Transport luggage to guest rooms and assist with storage.
  • Familiarize guests with room amenities and hotel facilities.
  • Log luggage activities and store luggage securely.
  • Assist guests with local directions and information.
  • Notify the Front Desk of VIP arrivals via two-way radio.
  • Deliver mail and packages to guests promptly, including special requests.
  • Transport guests to local attractions within a 3-mile radius.
  • Follow shuttle schedules and ensure timeliness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and monitor the shuttle’s routine maintenance.
  • Stay informed about hotel events daily.
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, including attendance and attire standards.
  • Coordinate traffic flow with the Valet Team.
  • Maintain the appearance of the front door area.
  • Thank guests and assist with luggage loading for departures.
  • Complete any special projects assigned by management.
Experience and Skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 30 lbs.
  • Ability to walk or stand approximately 90% of the shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adherence to safety requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily at the front door area of the hotel.
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including sun, heat, cold, and weather changes.
  • Located within a hotel with 94 guest rooms.
