Job summary

Pennsylvania Counseling Services Inc. is seeking part-time Behavioral Health Technicians to support children in home, school, and community settings under the supervision of a Mobile Therapist or Behavioral Consultant.

Starting as a BHT provides a entry point into the field with opportunities for growth after one year of experience. You will implement individualized treatment plans, help manage behaviors, build social skills, collect progress data, and assist with de-escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice or similar human service field.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• PA State Police Criminal History Check
• FBI Criminal Background Check completed through the Department of Human Services
• PA Childline Abuse History Clearance

Responsibilities

• Supporting children in managing challenging behaviors.
• Helping children build social and problem-solving skills.
• Reinforcing positive behaviors and parental strategies.
• Assisting children with integration into group activities.
• Collecting behavioral data to support treatment progress.
• Assisting with de-escalation when needed.

Education
