Job summary

MAS Community Health in Winthrop, Maine is seeking a Part-time Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to provide care for clients aged 1–21 in their homes and surrounding communities.

The role offers flexible hours, a supportive team, and credentialing assistance, with training provided. You will transport clients in your own vehicle and implement treatment plans created with the family and case management team.

Qualifications

• Active BHP certification not required
• 1 year of experience with children is a plus
• Interest in a career in early childhood education, social work, or psychology
• Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record and background check
• Ability to provide active motor vehicle insurance & registration
• Ability to provide high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized support within the clients' personal home and surrounding community.
• Safely transporting the client within your own personal, reliable vehicle.
• Following the client’s treatment plan outlined and created by the client’s family and the case management team.
• Basic understanding of smartphone applications, access to email communication, and awareness around processing electronic documents such as daily session notes. Training is available.

Job Overview

We’re looking for certified Behavioral Health Professionals in or near Winthrop, Maine.

As a BHP, you will provide care to clients between the ages of 1-21. Specifically, provide supervision and therapeutic support to children struggling with severe and persistent behavioral challenges. Support will be in the client’s home or surrounding community.

Requirements

• An active BHP Certification is not required! Our team ensures you have all the tools to become an excellent BHP.
• 1 year of experience working with children is a plus. (I.e. education, childcare, babysitting/nannying, etc.)
