Job summary

Magical Moments ABA is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for afternoon shifts in Virginia Beach area. The role focuses on direct client care across 1:1 and small groups, following BCBA-created treatment plans.

You will collect data, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with therapists, caregivers, and BCBAs to implement programs and adjust plans as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of ABA experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of general ABA practices.
• At least 18+ years of age.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings, following the treatment plan created by BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using Central Reach.
• Maintain a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients and families.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with other therapists, providers, BCBAs, caregivers, and other professionals for effective program implementation.
• Take direction and feedback from supervising staff (BCBA/BCaBA).
• Complete required training related to organization guidelines, compliance, state and federal regulations.
• Record appointments in practice management software daily and comply with billing and payroll policies.
• Adhere to RBT ethics code and patient privacy policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and behavioral intervention findings.
• Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust therapy plans based on client progress and emerging needs.
