Job summary

JBA Institute is hiring a full‑time, salaried BCBA to join our growing team. We provide high‑quality ABA services for individuals with ASD and related needs across south LA County, primarily Long Beach and the South Bay area, with travel to various client sites.

As a BCBA, you will conduct functional analyses, develop and supervise treatment plans, and train families and staff. You will partner with schools and funding agencies while analyzing data to guide progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Solid knowledge of ABA principles and procedures.
  • At least one year of experience developing, implementing, and monitoring ABA-based intervention services across different settings.
  • Capable of managing time independently and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to drive to clients' homes, schools, clinics and community settings.
  • Available during operating hours 7:45 am–6:30 pm, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing functional behavior assessments and skills assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including measurable goals, programs, procedures, and BIPs.
  • Provide and supervise direct ABA-based intervention services in home, school, and community settings.
  • Conduct regular parent and staff training.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other professionals.
  • Analyze data to monitor progress, modify goals and procedures, and write progress reports.
  • Attend planning meetings with funding agencies and parents (e.g., IEPs).

JBA is an agency that specializes in providing high-quality behavior intervention services, based on the principles of the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA), for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), related disabilities, and behavioral disorders. Service area includes south LA County (primarily Long Beach & South Bay area, expanding to several adjacent cities).

Job Duties

Requirements
  • Active BCBA certification in good standing required.

  • Must be available during operating hours of 7:45 am–6:30 pm Monday through Friday, no late evenings or weekends required.
