Job summary

Fidelity Cleveland is seeking a bartender/server for its busy Club Room in the Baker Building. You will prepare and serve beverages, take orders, manage bar inventory, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, upscale setting.

The role requires weekend and holiday availability, a friendly approach, and at least 1 year of experience in an elevated bar environment. Full-time benefits include PTO, holidays, 401K and restaurant discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in an elevated, fast-paced bar setting preferred.
• Strong guest-service mindset and communication skills.
• Ability to take orders, handle POS entries, and upsell beverages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages promptly according to recipes and procedures.
• Serve and take orders for tables while maintaining the bar.
• Maintain bar inventory, glassware, and tools in an attractive, functional manner.
• Inform guests about daily specials and menu items, making recommendations on request.
• Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and coordinate with the kitchen.
• Verify guest ages for alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.

CLUB ROOM is hiring for a BARTENDER/SERVER

Fidelity Hotel is an adaptive reuse project located at 1940 E. 6th Street in the historic 103-year-old Baker Building. Fidelity Hotel has 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. The property features a full-service upscale restaurant and bar, Club Room. The property also features event & meeting spaces and a private dining room. What you'll do:

• Must have weekend and holiday availability
• Prepare and serve beverages promptly and consistently, adhering to the outlet’s recipes and procedures
• Serve and take orders for tables while maintaining the bar
• Maintain bottles, glasses, bar tools, and garnishes in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
• Maintain product knowledge to inform guests of daily specials, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations upon request
• Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and send them to the kitchen; See to each guest’s special needs, including any allergies or dietary restrictions
• Check guest’s identification to verify minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Assist in the restocking and replenishing of bar inventory, prep, and supplies
• Wash and sterilize glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
• Maintain revenue by preparing checks that itemize total costs + sales taxes and collect accurate payments from guests
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, bar top, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
• Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
• Attempt to limit issues and liability related to excessive drinking by responsibly serving alcohol, having an awareness of signs of intoxication, and taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of our guests
• Assist bar management with creating beverage menus, ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining bar inventory
