The bartender will learn menus, maintain sanitation, and support smooth service during diverse shifts. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED (desirable), experience in food & beverage or hospitality, and comfort with computerized systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is desired but not essential.
• Previous related experience in food & beverage service, bartending, hospitality preferred.
• Comfort in computerized environments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete and stay current on all mandated training and certifications including CARE within required time frame; know responsibilities under ABC laws.
• Follow hotel procedures for documenting alcohol-related incidents.
• Ensure bar, stations, utensils, equipment, handwash stations, perishable foods & beverages, soft drink dispensers, and beer taps are maintained in sanitary conditions.
• Set up bar and reception station per hotel and brand standards.
• Demonstrate hospitality and professionalism at all times.
• Understand handling of cash and charge receipts, settling each shift and maintaining accountability for revenues and charges.
• Know current beverage menus, portions, recipes, glassware, and garnishes for items served.
• Order, pick up and serve foods from current menu; know basic preparation and ingredients and procedures.
• Maintain consistent guest attention; be visible, observant, and responsive to needs.
• Store equipment, food, and beverages properly.
• Maintain clean uniform; wear nametag; non-slip shoes required.
• Available to work various shifts as determined by events, seasonality, and hours; be punctual.
• Inform supervisor of safety concerns or repairs; keep items in like-new condition.
• Complete all assigned pre- and post-shift tasks.
