JOB SUMMARY
Hampton Inn Tropicana (a busy 325 rooms hotel) is looking for a part time bartender for Monday & Tuesday (5pm – 12pm) The bartender will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner and act as cashier for the lounge for the days of the weeks:Mondays & Tuesday 5pm -Midnight
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Current Food Handler Card & Alcohol Awareness Training
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to lift and/or transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Continuous standing, bending, scooping, and walking are required.
