Job summary

Qualifications

• Preferable supervisory and/or barista experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have valid identification.
• Must meet company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Special skills: customer focused, strong interpersonal skills, and food handling certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service: welcome and connect with each customer, recommend products, accommodate purchases, provide product demonstrations and sampling.
• Produce high quality products in accordance with company standards: serve only items that meet visual and product quality standards, demonstrate knowledge and practice of safe food handling, follow merchandising, stock, rotation, and storage standards.
• Present oneself in a clean professional manner during every shift.
• Contribute to store profitability: follow proper cash handling procedures and register policies, follow inventory and stock guidelines.
• Assume responsibility to learn and demonstrate knowledge as a barista: self‑initiated learning beyond the standard training program, learn and demonstrate all standards of product and conduct established by The GIANT Company and Starbucks.
