Job summary

Savannah Technical College invites applications for a part-time Barbering Instructor to teach on-site at Savannah or Liberty Campus locations. You will deliver the state-approved barbering curriculum, foster productive learning in both classroom and lab settings, and evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes.

The role requires a Georgia Master Barber license, a high school diploma, and at least three years of recent full-time experience; teaching experience is preferred and a flexible

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Active Georgia Master Barber license in good standing.
• Three years full-time, paid work experience within the past seven years.
• Barber Instructor license or prior teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and Saturdays.
• Ability to travel to Hinesville and/or Savannah.

Responsibilities

• Teach the state approved Barbering curriculum to enrolled students.
• Foster effective learning in classroom and lab settings.
• Evaluate students’ progress and attainment of goals.
• Record learning outcomes and maintain documentation.
• Prepare and maintain administrative reports.
• Ensure safety in classroom and laboratory.
• Mentor students through graduation and assist with placement.
• Maintain rapport with business, industry, and public sector.
