Job summary

Cavallo Point is seeking a non-management, part-time bartender/barback to join the team in Sausalito, CA. The role involves daily bar setup, assisting bartenders, seating guests, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean bar area in compliance with health codes.

Responsibilities include stocking glassware, garnishes, and ingredients; batching cocktails; learning the beverage program; and executing closing duties with FIFO procedures. English required; Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English to co-workers and guests.
• Ability to speak Spanish is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Set up bar station with all items needed for shift including water, ice, glassware and garnishes.
• Assist bartender in setting up or marking guests for dining or following courses, and clear soiled dishes from tables.
• Reset bar seating areas as guests depart and ensure area is clean for next guest.
• Clean, polish, and restock bar glassware throughout and at end of service.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment behind the bar adhering to health code.
• Batch cocktails accurately and ensure garnishes are prepared and in supply.
• Acquire knowledge of Cavallo Point beverage program to assist guests and bartenders.
• Perform duties deemed necessary by manager to service the guest and bar.
• Close down bar with FIFO for beer, wine, and perishables and complete closing duties.
