Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Oakland, CA is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker to support the customer service team in executing sales, products, or services. The role focuses on building customer loyalty and increasing sales to individual clients in a branch setting.

This is a part-time position with a salary range listed for full-time, prorated accordingly. The ideal candidate will assist with account openings, resolve service issues, and comply with bank policies while creating sales opportunities

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous Retail Banking or similar experience required.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to internal/external customers to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities out of service transactions and resolve customer complaints/issues promptly and effectively.
• Support sales/service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, etc.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and regulations; escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
