Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Canton, MI is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods, display items, and support production according to charts. You’ll work with a fast-paced team focused on quality, safety and member service.

Responsibilities include labeling, pricing, stocking, and assisting with daily club operations. Prior bakery experience or customer service is preferred; must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods by following each item’s product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment.
• Gathers products to be prepared for the next business day and uses bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs.
• Packages freshly baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments and rotates and stores bakery products following food safety policies.
• Answers questions and recommends bakery items; maintains clean and sanitary equipment, fixtures, and surfaces.
