Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk in Sioux Falls, SD to support our Bakery Department. You’ll greet customers, help them find products, and assist with order fulfillment and stocking. Training is provided, and no prior bakery experience is required.

You will work closely with the bakery team to maintain product freshness, follow safety guidelines, and ensure a welcoming, clean environment for customers. This part‑time role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math for counting and transactions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly in the bakery.
• Assist customers with finding products and placing orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Operate the department register to process payments when applicable.
