Job summary

Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a part-time employee to take excellent care of customers by meeting their needs and exceeding expectations. Duties include bagging, carryout, loading merchandise, and cart return while following procedures and working with a team to boost satisfaction and sales.

The role requires English reading/writing skills, willingness to train, and physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds. 16+ years old preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates who only speak English.
• Complete Company's training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, and product knowledge.
• Regularly stand/walk, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations.
• Bag groceries correctly and provide carryout and parcel pickup service.
• Load merchandise into customer vehicles and return shopping carts to the store.
• Follow safety and bagging procedures and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
