Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a part-time associate to Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying their needs, exceeding expectations, and making every shopping visit pleasant. Duties include bagging, carryout, loading merchandise into vehicles, and returning carts.

The role requires good communication, basic English reading/writing, simple math, and teamwork. Training will be provided; must be at least 16. Physical tasks include lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associates must be at least 16 years of age.
• Willingness to participate in and complete required training.
• Ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Ability to read/write simple English instructions and memos.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one or small group situations in English.

Responsibilities

• Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying needs and making shopping visits pleasant.
• Bag groceries, provide carryout and parcel pickup service, and load merchandise into customer vehicles.
• Return shopping carts to the proper location and work with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.
