NETS is seeking experienced Part-Time Background Investigators nationwide to support our IC customers in securing the trustworthiness and integrity of the United States Government's workforce through high-quality National Security Background Investigations. Join our award-winning organization and collaborate with some of the most talented minds in the GovCon industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals, reviewing records to gather facts and resolve material issues in investigations.
• Review relevant records to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject.
• Document all information thoroughly and submit detailed investigation reports within specified deadlines.
• Conduct investigations efficiently and accurately, meeting quality, timeliness, and production standards.
• Support national security initiatives by maintaining a strong commitment to the program mission.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of recent, relevant work experience.
• Hold a current driver’s license, have a reliable personal vehicle, and be willing to travel locally as needed.
• Have a home office with high-speed internet, a cell phone, and access to a government-provided laptop and internet reimbursement.
• Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of preparing detailed reports.
• Complete the National Training Standards course as a condition of employment.
• Opportunities are available for multiple levels based on qualifications.
• Must complete the New Hire Credential syllabus and pass the final exam with at least 80%; failure to do so will result in separation from employment.

Physical Demands:

• This role requires long periods of standing, walking, and typing, in addition to typical office work demands.
