Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Experienced Background Investigator to support a national Background Investigations program in a full-time capacity. You will conduct interviews, perform records checks, and compile concise reports while adhering to confidentiality and ethics standards.

Locations are national with a strong emphasis on field work and independent operation under a Field Manager. Candidates must have active federal BI experience and NTS certification, with the ability to travel as needed and

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year Federal Background Investigation experience.
• Active federal background investigation with T5 adjudication required.
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years general work experience.
• Ability to meet physical demands and drive safely.
• Access to and ability to work effectively from a home office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with individuals undergoing security clearances and references.
• Perform record searches at police, court, educational, financial, medical or mental health institutions.
• Compile and report detailed, accurate investigation findings.
• Work independently while collaborating with a team under a Field Manager.
