The National/Alamo brand offers exciting opportunities for Part-Time Automotive Technicians. This role involves performing car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning according to company policies and procedures. The technician exercises judgment and initiative, focusing on customer needs and adhering to our Quality Standards.

The pay ranges from $26 to $36 per hour, depending on certifications.

The position is located at our Service Center, 4100 Global Gateway Connector, College Park, GA 30337.

Automotive Technician Benefits:

• Additional $2/hr for ASE certifications beyond the required minimum of 4 (Qualifying ASEs = A1-A8 and L3)

Schedules: Part-time up to 25 hours/week, including weekends, nights, and some holidays, depending on business needs.

• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00AM-3:30PM
• Alternate schedule: Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00AM-3:30PM

Responsibilities

Immediate openings available. Responsibilities include:

• Completing repairs and preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications and guidelines
• Completing required manufacturer training and warranty/recall repairs
• Performing ADA installs as trained
• Documenting repair history accurately in Repair Orders
• Providing safe, reliable vehicles after repairs
• Following inventory and part tracking procedures
• Using manufacturer websites, diagnostic tools, and software
• Processing fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation, or buy-backs as needed
• Maintaining a safe and clean work area
• Performing manual labor, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods
• Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles
• OEM training/certification or 4 current ASE certifications required
• Agreement to obtain 4 ASE certifications within 12 months of hire if hired with manufacturer training
• Understanding of warranty procedures for GM, Ford, Toyota, Chrysler is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions (DUI/DWI) in the past 5 years
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to random testing
