Responsibilities

• Meet classes/lab on day and times assigned
• Develop and implement instruction for each class/lab period consistent with the official course outline
• Develop and distribute the first week of class a written syllabus with course objectives, grading criteria, and policies
• Demonstrate respect for student rights as specified in District policy and laws
• Ensure course textbooks and materials are available timely
• Refer students to tutoring and related services
• Supervise students in off-campus activities when required
• Evaluate students' progress toward meeting objectives
• Return assignments and exams promptly
• Assign grades per policy and Ed Code regulations
• Submit grade reports and census and attendance forms accurately
• Abide by department regulations for equipment use and safety
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor and suggest solutions
• Fulfill obligations under the collective bargaining agreement
• Maintain records per district procedures
