Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is seeking an Instructor in Automotive Technology (Part-Time Pool) to deliver comprehensive classroom instruction to a diverse student body across Ventura County. Instructors may teach up to 67% of a full-time assignment as non-contract/temporary staff.

Under a dean’s direction, the instructor will support program objectives, advise students, and participate in department activities. Prior instruction experience and CCC credential are essential.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience.
• Associate degree and six years of professional experience.
• The equivalent (as determined by equivalency review).
• Possession of an appropriate California Community College Credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction to students through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher-order thinking.
• Advise students on programs of study and available support resources.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Plan and organize instruction according to course outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and progress; prepare data and reports.
