Job summary

Waubonsee Community College’s Sugar Grove Campus seeks experienced automotive professionals to train the next generation of technicians. Adjunct Faculty deliver curriculum, assess student learning, and employ instructional technology across modalities, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and flex.

The role emphasizes syllabus design, timely grading, and collaboration with colleagues to serve the college and community.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or relevant ASE Certification(s) with 4000 hours of work related experience in the field.
Experience teaching at a Community College or Vocational/Technical institution.
Familiarity with multiple instructional modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
Ability to design syllabi, activities, assignments, and assessments in alignment with course outcomes.

Responsibilities

Design syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet course descriptions and outcomes.
Meet deadlines for attendance, grades, and data collection for assessment.
Incorporate learning-centered principles to motivate student learning.
Integrate instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to serve student and community needs.
Model professional communication and presentation skills.
