Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is seeking a part-time Audiologist to support clinical education and patient services in the university clinic. The role includes supervising undergraduate observers, serving as a preceptor for Au.D.

students, and delivering high-quality audiological testing and rehabilitative care on site in Alabama. Qualified candidates hold a Doctorate in Audiology with CCC-A and demonstrated ability to supervise students, communicate clearly with patients and families,

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in audiology required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) required.
  • Ability to supervise students in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and supervise audiology clinical activities for undergraduates.
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor for Au.D. students during practicum.
  • Provide and coordinate audiological testing and evaluation services.
  • Evaluate, fit, and dispense hearing aids and assistive devices as needed.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding results and care plans.
  • Document clinical interactions and student progress in charts.
  • Maintain organized, safe, and efficient work areas.
  • Complete continuing education to maintain Alabama licensure.
  • Attend program meetings and participate in community outreach.
