Job summary

INSPIRE is seeking a Part-Time Audio-Visual Technician to support The Sofitel in Chicago, IL. You will prep, operate, and strike AV equipment, ensuring smooth signal flow and professional service during conferences and events.

This role requires experience with AV technology, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position offers competitive hourly pay ($22.00–$25.00), flexible hours, and a benefits package including health and retirement

Responsibilities

• Prep, set, and strike audio-visual equipment and keep inventory updated at all times
• Consistently keep track of inventory and ensure orders are completed in a timely fashion
• Operate AV equipment with a full understanding of signal flow and equipment specifications
• Determine equipment shortages while preparing equipment orders and offer substitutions
• Keep open lines of communication with management at all times
• Follow strict guidelines and a rigid schedule
• Professionally represent INSPIRE and follow grooming and attire policies in place
• Continue our long-standing respectful relationship with clients and hotel staff
• Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where input is always appreciated
• Protect company equipment as if it were your own, and report any damage to the respective personnel
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
• Any other duties that are assigned

What should your background be as a Part-Time Audio-Visual Technician?

• Experienced with audio-visual technology
• Strong customer service and overall communication skills
• You can lift at least 50 pounds on your own
