Job summary

ADESA is seeking a Transportation Driver to move and position vehicles for car auctions and related activities. You will transport vehicles to and from customer or vendor lots, ensuring safe, orderly movement and adherence to auction rules.

You will verify VINs, handle parking logistics, and assist with minor vehicle services while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a valid license and the ability to work in shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Able to operate vehicles with manual or automatic transmission.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from customer or vendor lots while obeying auction driving rules and safe driving practices.
• Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles as required during auction days.
• Verify VINs for pickups/deliveries against transportation requests.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed; locate and move vehicles as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank.
• Notify management when vehicles are inoperable; dispense fuel as needed.
• Perform walk-arounds to assess vehicle condition and document damage.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and respond to inquiries timely.
• Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment; greet customers courteously.
• Report any breakdowns or accidents to the manager immediately.
