Job summary

ATvantage LLC in San Diego/Chula Vista, CA, seeks a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for a flexible Core Coverage role with part-time hours. This position offers up to 30 hours per week, with afternoon/evening event coverage to fit your schedule.

You will provide on-site acute care during games and practices, evaluate and triage injuries, and communicate updates to coaches and families. Documentation of encounters is required.

Qualifications

• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
• Eligible to practice in California
• Current CPR/AED certification & Mandated Reporter Training
• Strong independent decision-making and acute care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical coverage for scheduled games, tournaments, and high-risk practices.
• Serve as the on-site healthcare professional for acute injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.
• Evaluate and triage injuries, making immediate return-to-play and referral decisions.
• Communicate injury updates effectively with coaches, parents, and school personnel.
• Complete timely documentation for all patient encounters.
