Job summary

Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) is seeking a part-time field maintenance aide for the New Century Fieldhouse Sports Complex in Kansas. 12-18 hours per week under the supervision of the New Century Fieldhouse Maintenance Specialist.

You will perform mowing, field dragging, chalking, fertilizing, irrigation repairs, and light maintenance tasks, while assisting with safety and on-call field care as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of sports field or lawn care maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven ability to lead staff to accountability.
• Motivated to achieve at a high level as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and field preparation for athletic fields and grounds.
• Lead, train, and supervise part-time staff to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Operate and maintain mowers, tractors, carts, and other tools.
• Complete mowing, field painting, chalking, fertilizing, and irrigation repairs.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks are completed.
